Pet Parent Helpers is an in-your-home petsitting service for the Kenilworth/Magnolia Woods/Walden/etc and surrounding areas (up to a 10 mile radius).
We are very flexible in helping ensure your pet is well-taken care of while you are away, and will work with you to customize your service to fit your individual needs. Our goal is to provide excellent pet care and to meet or exceed your expectations.
In-home pet sitting allows your pet to stay in the comfort of their own home while you are away, which alleviates stress on them. It also helps you avoid the complicated requirements of boarding facilities.
A sitter will visit your home while you are away to care for your dogs, cats, other small mammals, fish and/or birds. No reptiles or farm animals, please. We do not keep clients' pets in the sitter's home or offer overnight visits at this time.
The average visit is 30 minutes depending on the number of animals & your unique requirements, and visits can be up to two times per day. The average cost is approximately, for one to two animals, $15 for the first visit and $10 for the second in the same day. Discounted rates are available for multiple pets.
Once you have submitted your service request and determined sitter availability, we will meet for a consultation and meet and greet with your pet. There is no charge for this visit.
A deposit of one half of the amount for the reserved dates is due at the initial consultation. The balance is due once service has been completed. We accept cash, check, money order, credit card and Paypal.
All visits include (if needed):
Rotating lights & blinds (to look like someone is home)
Putting out/bringing in trash & recycling cans
Watering inside plants
Providing food/water/medication
Play time
One walk around the block per day
Brushing/combing
*Clean-up after pet (sweeping up dog hair/kitty litter, cleaning up accidents, etc.)
Any visit that requires sitter to remain in the home over half an hour (such as many additional pets that need care, etc.) will incur additional charges that will be agreed upon at the initial consultation. Additional rates apply for trips to the dog park, veterinarian or groomer.
Service will be provided for the clients' pets only.
*Additional service of providing light house-keeping may be available for an additional fee (vacuuming, dusting, etc).

I have been a foster parent for several years. My pets are cats and one bird. I am a responsible, college-educated 35-year-old adult with many years of experience caring for pets and rescue animals. I am a work-from-home mother of young children (aged 3 and 6) and am available throughout the day and evening to care for your pet while you are out of town or at work.
From time to time my husband, Michael Grenat, may fill in for an evening or weekend appointment. He is a long-time employee of a local Fortune 500 company and has assisted with fostering and transporting cats and dogs for rescue since 2010. He is compassionate and loving towards animals with attention to detail to ensure that your home and pet are safe and secure during your absence.
We have owned our home in Kenilworth since 2008 and have helped reunite lost pets and their owners in our neighborhood on several occasions. We have many references available for you to contact in order to ensure your peace-of-mind that your pets will receive the best care while you are away.
